Meetings and Minutes

You do not need to be a steering committee member to attend.

Meetings are held in the “Sun Room” at Panera Bread on 300 N Brand Blvd from 7:00-8:30pm.

  2. Dear bikers and bike advocates

I’m teaching Yoga at the time of the committee meetings, so will never be able to attend a Mo. evening. However the following is urgent and I want to bring it to your attention:
My 14 year old son had a bike car collision on Wed. 8/12 and broke his wrist. On his way back from CVH he passed Verdugo Park. Since the street narrows and allows no sight, the sidewalk is extremely small at that point too, he rode over the GCC parkinglot adjacent to the Verdugo wash. A car backing out of its parking lot obstructed my son’s way and he crashed into the car. Thanks God neither one of them was fast. It was neither the driver’s nor the bikers fault they both had no oversight of the situation. However bikers coming from Montrose passing GCC is dangerous.
I don’t know what the planning is for Glendale’s bike safety but I looked on the map.
Del Monte Dr. off E Mountain in Glendale is a cul de sac ending into city property, which in turn borders Verdugo park. Are there any plans for a safe bike route going through Verdugo park ending on Del Monte Dr.?
